Our Mission
Our Mission is to build a warm, welcoming Orthodox Shul in North Central Phoenix, a spiritual home to families, children, and all Jews, regardless of their level of knowledge or observance.
About Us
Ohr HaTorah was founded on Yom Kippur 5767 (2007) in Phoenix, Arizona, by a group of people dedicated to creating a Shul that focuses on the personal growth of each individual member.
Our Mission is to build a warm, welcoming Orthodox Shul in North Central Phoenix, a spiritual home to families, children, and all Jews, regardless of their level of knowledge or observance; a Makom Torah which encourages and fosters a yearning for personal and communal growth; a place where families and children experience the joy of Torah and Mitzvos. We enjoy a special relationship with the Phoenix Community Kollel and the presence of many Rabbis and Rebbitzens in our community.
Torah, Prayer, and Chesed
At OHT Prayer, Torah study and Chesed that are meaningful and accessible to everyone are fundamental parts of the Shul experience.
Our Children, Our Future
Nothing is more important to us than our children. At OHT we seek to include our children not only in our hearts but in activities and programs. We seek to create an environment that role-models for our children how we hope they will develop as adults.
